So the most recent project of AK Creations was a babyshower cake. Our first, to be exact! The theme of baby Isabella's room is Princess, so we had fun incorporating that into the cake. We ventured to do fondant again....not quite like we did last time. For this cake we didn't cover the entire thing with fondant, but just used it for the decorations. I have to say, it was MUCH easier.
The colors of the cake were pink and brown, so we decided to make it fun and make it pink and brown on the inside! We dyed the white cake pink and of course the brown was chocolate.
No mishaps to reveal in this project. That must mean we are improving! :-) It's amazing how much we have learned over the past year. We are coming up on our first anniversary of cake decorating. Check back for our second Sweetheart's Banquet cake. It will be unique and unlike anything we've done before!
